Crypto Markets
Bitcoin fell 1.4% to $77,423 in the 24 hours through October 31, while Ethereum slipped 0.3% to $2,244 and Solana dropped 2.2% to $95.95, as the crypto market reeled from the largest security breach in the industry's history. Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, disclosed that hackers had stolen $6.3 billion in digital assets, forcing the platform to suspend transactions and launch an investigation, according to the Wall Street Journal. The exchange said the breach occurred over a 30-minute window, and cybersecurity researchers quickly identified blockchain signatures consistent with TraderTraitor, an elite North Korean hacking unit, the Journal reported.
